We want to develop new cohesive programmes that drive social change and test and pilot the best approaches to improving people’s lives, so we have created three new programmes – the Digital Inclusion programme, headed up by Adam Micklethwaite, the Social Inclusion programme, headed up by Charlotte Murray and finally a third new directorate, Design and Innovation, led by Bea Karol Burks. Our vision is a world where everyone can benefit from digital and everything we do is to help us achieve this mission and have the biggest impact that we possibly can.
Our Digital Inclusion programme will deliver a range of digital inclusion programmes, from our large-scale DfE-funded Future Digital Inclusion programme, to work with corporate partners including Lloyds Banking Group and TalkTalk, and place-based approaches in areas like Leeds and Sunderland.
Lastly, the Design and Innovation Directorate aims to pilot and test new approaches to tackling both digital and social exclusion, and the team will be designing interventions and projects that can then be scaled.
These teams will be supporting by Specialist Network, Marketing, Digital, Learning and Finance teams.
We were sad to say goodbye to a few people but delighted to welcome some new faces this year. Although there’s been a lot of change, one thing’s certain; we have the same passion and the same energy to make those ‘good things’ happen and we’ll continue to do so, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to benefit from digital and improve their lives.
